Draw procedure for international field trials in Denmark
It is the field trial committee, Markprøveudvalget (MU), under Danish Retriever Club (DRK) that organizes the international field trials in Denmark, executed according to FCI regulations. If there are more entries than possible runs, the participation will be decided by a draw.
The draw procedure will take the following into account: · No person shall have the possibility for planning the running list, all qualified potential participants shall have equal possibility for running · The draw is executed only between dogs that are qualified and signed up at announced deadline
· The draw is based at the dog, not the handler. However, to maximize the opportunity for all, no handler or owner can have a run with a second or subsequent dog, before all others in the draw have been offered a run.
MU will execute the draw and count the number of starts for each dog through out the season from February 1st to January 31st.
Principles for the draw: The draw is based on groups depending on the number of starts: · Group 1: Dogs with no start in the season · Group 2: Dogs with one (1) start in the season · Group 3: Dogs with two (2) starts in the season
· Etc.
The draw starts in group 1. When group 1 is empty, the draw continues in group 2, then in group 3, etc., until all groups are empty, and a numbered list is created. When a handler with two or more dogs is drawn out with the first dog, the second or subsequent dogs are put into a group for double handlers, which will be the last group in the drawing order.
Drawing after the maximum number of runs in the trial, will decide the order of the reserve list.
A valid cancellation from a participant does not count as a start. A start from the reserve list does count as a start.
Wildcards:
Wildcards can be provided for judges, stewards, dog stewards and assistants that have judged or contributed to previous FCI field trials in Denmark within this season or last year’s season. One (1) day of judging or one (1) day of contributing will result in one (1) wildcard.
To use the wildcard, an application must be sent to MU, with documentation of the service delivered. No more the 4 wildcards must run in the same field trial.
In case of more applications, MU will conduct a draw.
Running based on wildcards, will be announced in the official catalogue.
First edition before 2022 season, created based at FCI Field Trail regulation.
